Nea realizes the importance and urgency of giving the issue of violence in the home a voice; as such, Reaching BACK and ReBORN are used as therapy for counseling sessions of victims recovering from domestic violence and abuse at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia in the Emory NIA Project. Nea has drawn attention to issues of domestic violence in her work as author/advocate.
